Since the only reason they are together more is because superboy and robin are ’ young batman and young superman’ so they put them together more , and if the the FLASH was more popular in the main stream, we see more crossovers with robin and bart..

So now in my head canon Bart picks Max as his best friend with tim and Kon as his second bffs
